In 2012.
I started my career in 2012 at Deloitte Legal, specializing in indirect tax advisory for international clients. Over the years, I developed a strong focus on the financial services sector. As part of this journey, I was selected in 2012 for a secondment to Deloitte’s Financial Services Indirect Tax team in London, where I advised clients in the banking, asset management, and insurance sectors on VAT and Insurance Premium Tax.
From 2016 to 2020, I was a part-time teaching assistant in the Tax Law Department at the University of Leuven, combining academic involvement with practical expertise.
In 2019, I joined Amazon’s Public Policy team as Public Policy Manager for tax and customs. In this role, I supported EU-level political and legislative processes on tax and customs matters, both directly and through trade associations. I led public policy campaigns and coordinated closely with local teams across nine countries.
From October 2023 until the end of 2024, I served as Operational Lead at Leuven 2030, a non-profit organization. Together with the director, I was responsible for leading a team of nine staff members and overseeing operations, finances, internal processes, governance, and legal matters.
