In 2016.

I work as an all-round VAT advisor and support clients in various sectors with their VAT questions and obligations. My work includes providing training, assisting with tax audits, applying for rulings and setting up VAT processes within ERP systems.

For some assignments, I have also worked as an in-house VAT specialist. These experiences have given me a keen insight into various business processes that are closely linked to VAT. For example, I spent several months working on the introduction of the VAT system for a multinational in the United Arab Emirates. I mapped out the VAT obligations, helped set up ERP and compliance processes, and provided VAT training to the local teams.
